Delia De Leon was one of the first Westerners to meet Meher Baba in London in 1931. She traveled extensively with Baba in Europe, America and visited Him in India several times. Delia was the guiding spirit behind the early "Baba Work" in London through the War. She also attended the '62 East-West Gathering, and this was her farewell glimpse of the Master. Since then Delia has continued to inspire younger generations in London. In the '60's, this included some English rock stars, notably Pete Townshend. In the introduction to Delia's book The Ocean of Love, Pete Townshend writes: "Meher Baba is the personification of pure love at a magnitude and power unimagined since the advent of Jesus."
